Affiliate marketing works when your audience trusts you. Protect that above any single commission.
The rules (from the Terms)
- Always say you earn a commission whenever you share your link. In the US, the FTC requires a clear disclosure of a financial connection, close to the link, in plain words: “I earn a commission if you buy through my link.” A hashtag buried at the end isn’t enough.
- No spam. Only email people who asked to hear from you.
- Don’t buy through your own link.
- Don’t bid on the product’s name in ads without the partners’ OK.
- No false claims or promised results, and no fake reviews.
Breaking these lets the partners remove you and lets SplitPartner cancel commissions earned that way.
What actually sells
- Use it first. Your real experience is the most persuasive thing you have.
- Show it. A screenshot, a short video of you using it, a before and after of your own work.
- **Say who it’s *not* for.** It makes everything else you say more believable.
- Pick one strong moment: a launch, a season (back to school, tax time), a problem your audience is having this week.
- Email beats social. If you have a list, one thoughtful email usually outsells many posts.
- Follow up once. A reminder before a real launch price ends is useful; five is spam.

Tip
Subject: The [thing] I used for [result]. Body: one short story about the problem, what you tried, how this product helped (truthfully), who it’s for, the price, your link, and your disclosure line. Under 200 words.
Your product’s affiliate tools page has ready-made versions with your link filled in. Edit them into your own voice.
Still stuck? Email a person at hello@splitpartner.com. Say which product and what you saw; a screenshot helps.
