Changing things: proposals and approvals

Which changes need a vote, how voting works, and whether sales pause meanwhile.

4 min read

Once partners have signed, nobody can quietly change the product. Every change is proposed, and the signed partners approve it.

What counts as a change

Everything in Make changes on the product page: the name and description, price, how buyers get it, the thank-you page, the sales page, affiliates and the commission, the prelaunch page, the affiliate recruit page, affiliate tools, and partners and the split.

A special rate for one affiliate is a change too; you set it with Special rate in the Affiliates box.

How it works

  1. A signed partner makes the change and clicks Send to partners for approval.
  2. Every other signed partner gets an email, and the change shows at the top of the product page under Waiting for approval, with who has approved.
  3. Each partner clicks Approve or Reject.
  4. When everyone has approved, it applies. One rejection stops it, and nothing changes.

The person who proposed it can Cancel this change while it’s waiting.

If you’re the only signed partner, changes apply right away; the button just says Save.

Keep selling, or pause?

Faster everyday changes

If one partner handles the day-to-day, elect a leader. The leader can change the words, price, delivery, thank-you page, sales page, prelaunch page, recruit page and affiliate tools without a vote. Everyone is emailed each time.

History

Every change, who proposed it, and whether it was applied, rejected or canceled, is under Change history on the product page.
