Adding, removing or re-weighting partners is a split change in Make changes → Partners and split.
Adding someone
- Click + Add partner, enter their email, role and percentage, and adjust the others so the total is 100%.
- Send it for approval. Every signed partner approves.
- The new partner gets an invite and must sign (and set up payouts) before sales continue under the new split.
Removing someone
Remove their row and re-balance the percentages. Every signed partner approves, including the partner being removed. If they won’t agree, the split stays as it is; SplitPartner doesn’t decide disputes.
Partners who never signed don’t vote, and the signed partners can remove them.
What changes and what doesn’t
- Past sales never change. Each sale keeps the split it was recorded under.
- A partner who leaves keeps their share of the sales made under the split they signed, including what’s already in their Stripe account.
- New sales use the new split once it applies.
Honest
If a partner has stopped doing their part, talk first. A split change everyone agrees to is quick; one that someone feels forced into usually isn’t.
